Home Sites

35 individual home sites are situated in three areas. The lakeside group will be around the lake with north and west aspects, all day sun and magnificent lake and mountain views. A second group is located to the northeast of the lake with an open aspect to the west, maximising the last of the day’s warmth from the sun. The third group is located over the northern part of the site, near or along the river escarpment, set back from the escarpment to protect the natural character of views from the river.

All these unique home sites are set amid imposing natural scenery with outstanding mountain views. The large lot sizes provide plenty of space and room for all the toys. Lake & Facilities

At the heart of Corbridge Estates is a natural basin in which there will be a private recreational lake approximately 8ha in size.

Situated beside the lake, two contemporary architect designed buildings form a recreational and business hub for use by Corbridge Estates land owners. Existing rural buildings on the site drive the design style of these structures which will be built from natural materials so that they integrate well into the landscape. Simple barn-like linked buildings are grouped at the lake edge featuring gable roofs, slatted timber walls, timber boardwalks and decks connecting the buildings to each other, as well as to the surrounding landscape. Natural materials to integrate the buildings into the landscape. Strong rural forms, natural colours and textured surfaces, changing light from pond and lake reflections, slatted timber screens and the extensive boardwalks and jetties that bring people to the lake edge combine in a simple yet elegant design style.  

When work calls, it's easy to do business in the shared high-tech office space with ultrafast broadband and all the office technology that's available in the city make it easy to do business. A meeting room, shared desks, a cafe area and library with lounge seating provide a luxury work environment with views out to the lake.

When it's time to socialise, relax in comfortable leather armchairs in the lounge area and enjoy a Central Otago pinot noir or single malt in front of a roaring fire in the stacked schist fireplace. Or gather around the outdoors sunken circular gas fire pit on a clear starry night and watch the light fade on dramatic landscapes.

The lake provides recreational opportunities including water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding or a leisurely row round the lake in a dinghy. For exercise, play tennis on the tennis court, swim in the heated lap pool or get biking on the extensive network of easy mountain bike trails that run along both sides of the Clutha River and out to Lake Hawea along the Hawea River.
